How to Define Personal Value?

Everyone living in the world would ask the question-what do I live for? It is actually a common topic; however, it is hard to define. That is because different people hold different world views and have different targets towards life. Someone wants to live a peaceful but happy life; while another person work diligently for wealthy living and bright future. As to me, I just want to realize my personal value.

A lot of people may hold the same opinion with me. The point is how to realize one's personal value. Personally, I need not to be a renowned figure. At least, I should be useful for the society or people around me. For example, to bring happiness to the surrounding people is a kind of personal value. Being able to help the people in difficulty is another kind of personal value. All these things seem to be simple and frequently seen; they are really the standard to value a person. You have no need to be skillful or technical. Every ordinary person can do that. If you want, you can extend your value by improving yourself. You can study hard to be a scientist who definitely does great contribution to the society, even the world.

Usually, one's personal value should be measured by the public people. Sometimes, we consider what we have done is really helpful, but in the eyes of others, it is totally different. In that case, it requires an impartial and authorized institution to have a judgment. To sum up, the definition of personal value differs for different people.
